The Children’s Nursing BN (Hons) course offered by Bangor University provides students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding required for a career in children's nursing. This involves training for both hospital and community settings.Course Content: The course is three years in duration with students spending 50% of their time in clinical practice placements, which includes a mix of urban and rural healthcare settings. Key Modules: The course comprises of modules like communication & interpersonal skills, professional & ethico-legal issues, introduction to pathophysiology, nursing practice, teaching & learning for health professionals, managing complex care in children's nursing, and nursing research.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse (Child).Future Careers: Graduates have the opportunity to enter areas of children's nursing which includes hospital or community contexts, working in a variety of roles and settings both in the UK and abroad.
