BSc Marine Biology

The Marine Biology BSc (Hons) at Bangor University is a three-year course that provides an in-depth understanding of the important global marine system. With a combination of laboratory and field studies, the course provides comprehensive knowledge in many areas including marine biology, marine ecology, oceanography, and marine conservation. Course Content: The study program offers a diverse range of modules in the first year including Ocean Planet, Biological Skills & Animal and Plant Biology. In the second year, content revolves around Marine Ecology, Oceanography and Statistical Analysis, and the final year consists of Tropical Marine Biology, Animal Behaviour, and Marine Conservation. Additionally, students conduct an independent research project in an area of personal interest.
