The Zoology with Ornithology BSc (Hons) is a full-time undergraduate course offered by Bangor University. This course integrates the study of zoology with a special focus on ornithology, providing an understanding of the complex life of animals and birds, their environment, and the issues that affect them.Course Content: The course offers a mixture of theoretical, practical, and field-based study. Students are introduced to the diversity of animal life, investigate issues of animal health and disease, learn research skills, and study various habitats and ecosystems. In-depth training in ornithology is provided, exploring bird flight, migration, energetics, and evolution. The course combines lectures, seminars, fieldwork including the opportunity for overseas field courses, and laboratory classes. Key Modules: The course comprises various modules such as The Biosphere, Evolution and Genetics, Comparative Animal Physiology, Animal Diversity, Animal Behaviour, Parasites and Pathogens, Research Projects and others depending on the study year.Accreditations: The course has accreditation from the Royal Society of Biology.Future Careers: Graduates of this course can pursue various career paths.
