BA Hons. Geography

The BSc Geography Hons degree at Bangor University is an interdisciplinary course that broadens students’ understanding of the physical processes and patterns that shape our world, as well as human societies and their environments. Designed to produce independent thinkers, this program combines lectures with fieldwork and practical sessions to provide a comprehensive study program.Course Content: The course content is divided into three levels. The first level introduced students to the physical and human environment. The second level explores more about the Earth’s surface processes and patterns, landscapes and climates. The final level will have a research project where students will pose their own research questions.Key Modules: The course includes modules on Environmental Issues, Geographical Skills, Global Environmental Change, Social Geographies, Glacial Processes and Environments, Catchment Water Resources, Independent Project.Accreditations: This BSc Geography Hons degree is accredited by the British Society for Geomorphology (BSG), the Conference of Heads of Geography in HE Institutions (CHGH), the Geographical Association (GA), and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) with the Institute of British Geographers (IBG).Future Careers: Graduates from this course may go onto careers in environmental consultancy, local and national government, the civil service, research, teaching, and other related fields.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
