B Eng Engineering

The Engineering (BEng) course at Bangor University is a 3-year full-time course that offers comprehensive study in various branches of engineering with a focus on design, innovation and management. The program incorporates practical training and the understanding of engineering concepts through research and project work.Course Content: The course exposes students to a variety of aspects of engineering, such as material understanding, fluid dynamics, design concepts, manufacturing operations, and project management. It also places a large emphasis on enhancing problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, communication and leadership skills. Key Modules: The core modules of the course are divided across three years and include mathematics for engineers, engineering research methods, thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics in the first year. The second year covers digital technology, control systems, dynamics and engineering design and project management. The final year explores advanced topics like renewable energy, advanced design, manufacturing technology, operations management and an individual project. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and provides a path to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.Future Careers: Graduates from this program can explore a multitude of careers in diverse fields such as aerospace, automotive, energy, infrastructure and information technology.
