MSc Interpreting

The MA (Hons) Interpreting programme at Heriot-Watt University is a one-year full-time programme that provides practical hands-on training in interpreter skills and theory. It is designed to develop the skills required for professional practice in the field of interpreting. Heriot-Watt University is the only institution in Scotland that offers degree programmes in interpreting and translation.Course Content: The programme combines intensive language-specific practice in interpreting modalities such as consecutive, simultaneous, sight translation, and a solid grounding in translation and interpreting studies, including theory, research methods and professional practice.
