BEng (Hons) Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems

The BEng (Hons) in Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems at Heriot-Watt University is a four-year undergraduate program that offers students an interdisciplinary approach to robotics, automation and interactive systems. The course combines elements of engineering, computer science, psychology and design to prepare students for a career in an increasingly automated society.Course Content: The comprehensive program includes key subjects such as Engineering Design, Programming, Mathematics, Electronics, Interactive System Design, and Machine Intelligence. The course also offers hands-on practical work and projects, along with opportunities for research and work placement.Key Modules: Key modules of the course include: Introduction to Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Principles of Interactive Systems, Machine Intelligence and Applications, and Robotics: Sensing and Perception. There's also the chance to undertake a project on an individual basis under the supervision of a member of academic staff.Future Careers: After completion of the course, students will be ready to lead the development of future smart devices, autonomous vehicles and robotic systems.
