Master Public Health

The Public Health course offered at Keele University is a postgraduate program created to arm students to be instrumental in improving public health standards. In addition to specialising on public health, the course provides students with comprehensive understanding and advanced knowledge about contemporary public health practice across the world.Course Content: The course contents are designed to cover Public Health principles, practice and research. The knowledge shared corresponds to the implementation of public health principles in practice — locally, nationally, and internationally — as well as research and policy making in public health. It offers three specializations in Applied Epidemiology, Health Emergency Planning and Disaster Management or Public Health. Key Modules: The course spreads over 12 months and is divided into various modules which include Principles of Public Health and Health Improvement, Data Sources for Public Health, Public Health Skills and Approaches, Research Approaches and Methods, and Emerging Issues in Public Health Practice.Accreditations: The course is Regulatory Body Approved by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA).Future Careers: The course enables graduates to work in a Public Health role, or leadership roles in Public Health, and work in non-governmental organisations, local government, or the health service industry.
