The Global Security postgraduate course at Keele University is an interdisciplinary study that aids scholars in understanding complex security threats facing our world and developing strategies to respond effectively. From terrorism to cyber threats and climate change, the course prepares students to operate in an increasingly complex and interconnected global environment.Course Content: The Postgraduate Diploma in Global Security focusses on the core modules enabling students to develop an in-depth and critical understanding of key themes. Topics include security, violence, and the state; politics and international relations; and urban resilience and resistance. The practical component of the course involves a 'crisis simulation' where students will experience real-world scenarios and challenges in a controlled environment.Key Modules: The key modules include Understanding Global Security, Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism, Security in the Digital Age, Urban Crisis, Urban Security and International Disaster Management.
