The main themes that recur throughout the course are biomedical ethics and the idea that our understanding of science is shaped by social, cultural, and ethical issues.Key Modules: The course comprises diverse modules spanning across different aspects of both human biology and psychology. Fundamental modules such as Genes, Molecules, and Cells, and Perception and Cognition are included in the first academic year. Alongside these, advanced modules such as Principles of Neuroscience, Introduction to Behaviour at Work and Themes and Perspectives in Psychology are introduced as the course progresses. Accreditations: The programme is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology for the purpose of meeting, in part, the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).
