The MEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies is an undergraduate degree program provided by the University of Hertfordshire. This course provides an in-depth understanding of aerospace engineering theories and practices, along with practical pilot training. Students have the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in the underlying principles of aviation while receiving actual flight experience.Course Content: This course incorporates fundamental principles of aerospace systems, aviation laws and regulations, flight dynamics, propulsion systems, and aircraft structures. Alongside theoretical lessons, practical flight lessons and simulator training are also essential parts of the course. Key Modules: Key modules include Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Materials and Manufacture, Mathematics for Engineers, Aircraft Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics and Simulation, among others. Accreditations: The MEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies course has accreditation from the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). Upon graduation, students are partially exempt from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Engineering Council’s examinations.Future Careers: Graduates from this program find opportunities in a diverse range of sectors including aircraft manufacturing, airline operations, air-navigation service providers, and regulatory and government bodies. The degree lays the foundation for careers in aviation, engineering, systems operation, and more. For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
