The LLM Bar Practice course at The University of Hertfordshire is a postgraduate masters course designed to help students achieve the required competencies to successfully practice at the Bar. It combines the full Bar Practice Course (BPC) curriculum and an LLM (Master's in Law), offering a master's degree in addition to the vocational training to enable a career at the Bar.Course Content: The LLM Bar Practice course provides a comprehensive learning experience where students will study a range of subjects including, Advocacy, Civil Litigation & Evidence, Criminal Litigation, Evidence & Sentencing, and Professional Ethics, amongst others. The LLM component of the course requires students to apply the skills, techniques, and strategies they have learnt in a dissertation or a live project, further enhancing their competence and readiness for professional practice.
