BEng Hons. Mechanical Engineering

The BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering course offered by the University of Hertfordshire equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to thrive in various engineering sectors. Combining theoretical teaching, practical experiments, and direct industry training, students develop skills in design, ICT, mechanics and thermodynamics, electronics, materials, manufacturing and management.Course Content: The course is conducted by experienced tutors and is designed in a way that students can learn the art of creating mechanical systems and the knowledge of how they are operated and maintained. Students also develop awareness regarding the impacts of engineering on the environment and society.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Mathematics for Engineering, Introduction to Solid Mechanics, Introduction to Thermofluids, and Experiencing the Professional Engineering Environment. In the final years, students can work on individual projects and group projects, helping them gain hands-on experience.
