BA Hons. Animation and Visual Effects

The BA (Hons) 3D Animation and Visual Effects course is offered by the University of Hertfordshire. It teaches students to develop the key skills required in the world of 3D animation and visual effects. This undergraduate programme encourages students to explore digitally-driven character animation and effects production.Course Content: This course incorporates the study of digital methods of 3D modelling, character creation, animation, lighting, and texture in both CGI and visual effects contexts. It exposes students to key principles of these areas as well as narrative storytelling, pre-production, and post-production techniques.Key Modules: Some of the core modules students can expect to study are entitled: 3D Modelling, Lighting and Texturing, Animation Techniques, Character Creation, Narrative Storytelling and Shot Production, and Parallel Realities.Accreditations: This course has been accreditated by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK's screen-based industries, and carries the ScreenSkills Select badge.Future Careers: On completion of the course, graduates may work as Riggers, Modellers, Animators, Lighters, Visual Effects Artists, or Previsualisation Artists, to name but a few roles.
