A-Level

A*AA

A*AA, including Chemistry and at least one other science or mathematics subject. Subjects considered to be science/mathematics subjects are Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. If you are not studying Mathematics at A-Level, your options for international study may be restricted. Whilst we do not require an A-level in the relevant European language at the point of application for this course, candidates who wish to study in a country where English is not the language of instruction will be required to have the relevant language qualification upon the start of the placement in Year 3. This will typically be a qualification at a CEFR level B2, such as an A-level grades A to C, or relevant evidence of language proficiency. Students wishing to enrol at a destination country where English is not the language of instruction should contact the Chemistry admissions team with details of their qualifications. If you miss the MChem grades, but meet the BSc grades (AAA), you will automatically be considered for the BSc option. Practical skills are a crucial part of science education and therefore there will be a requirement to pass the practical element of any science A-level taken. Where applicants are applying for science and related degrees, this is likely to be made explicit in the offers you will receive.
