Course Overview
The PhD Cancer Biology at University of Cambridge is a postgraduate programme designed for postgraduate students passionate about advancing health outcomes. Based in Cambridge, England, this Russell Group university offers a research-led approach to learning, with a 3-year full-time and part-time structure. At the end of the MRes/PhD programme, candidates will be prepared for further postdoctoral training to produce the cancer research leaders of the future. The course design reflects our belief that, for this to happen, students need a much deeper and broader knowledge of cancer biology and its relationship to the clinic, as well as a breadth of experience of experimental work to make an informed choice of research area. The programme is designed to give students a broad understanding of both the basic biology as well as clinical management of the whole spectrum of malignant disease. A minimum ielts score of 7.5 is required for admission. Graduates from this programme benefit from strong career prospects, with 95% student satisfaction rating, a 100% continuation rate, and 80% of graduates in employment or further study.
