Course Overview

If you have a passion for technology, our BEng in Software and AI Engineering will teach you to create and innovate through software development and intelligent systems. It is designed for problem-solvers who want to address complex challenges in an increasingly connected and AI-driven world. You will develop a strong foundation in software engineering, including programming, system design, testing and development practices. Alongside this, you will be introduced to artificial intelligence and how it can be integrated into real-world applications. As you progress, you will explore how software and AI technologies work together to solve complex problems. You will develop your understanding of areas such as cloud-based systems, data-driven applications and AI integration, learning how to design scalable and reliable systems. In your final year, you will focus on more advanced and applied topics, including AI engineering and cloud-based development, alongside a major individual project. This will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge to a real-world problem and develop solutions that reflect current industry practices. The programme prepares you for careers in software engineering, AI development and related technology roles, as well as further study in artificial intelligence, software engineering and related fields.
