        The Art, Health and Wellbeing postgraduate course offered by Anglia Ruskin University is designed to facilitate the understanding and utilisation of art to promote health and wellbeing. This course empowers students by teaching them how to employ arts-based practices within healing and therapeutic contexts, bolstering their knowledge through intensive modules and access to resources.

        Course Content: The course consists of modules including Research methods, Art, Health and Well-being: Exploring the role of arts in health and well-being, World Arts: Exploring Diversity and Inclusivity in the Arts, Developing Practice in Art, Health and Well-being, and a Major Project pertaining to the field. It also includes additional modules, which encompass Arts Policy and Management and Art for change. Students partake in workshops, lectures, seminars, and individual tutorials, as well as group work, presentations, field studies, and practical projects.

        Key Modules: Some salient modules of this course are ‘Art, Health and Well-being: Exploring the role of arts in health and well-being,’ ‘World Arts: Exploring Diversity and Inclusivity in the Arts,’ ‘Developing Practice in Art, Health, and Well-being,’ and a Major Project.

        Future Careers: On successful completion of the course, students can proceed to work in community arts, therapeutic environments, and within the NHS on arts, health, and wellbeing projects. The acumen gained could also prove beneficial for careers in health promotion, teaching or community development. Potential job roles include Artist facilitators, Health commissioning project managers, Participatory artists, Wellbeing advisors, Researchers, and Policy advisors. Doctorate-level study is also a possibility for graduates of this course.
