Beng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The Electrical and Electronic Engineering BEng at The University of Sheffield is a dynamic course aimed at students who want to pursue a career in electrical and electronic engineering. The course is designed to equip students with necessary skills and knowledge in the broad field of electrical and electronic engineering, with flexibility in selecting modules that match their interests. Course Content: The course is divided into three levels. Its first year provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of electrical and electronic engineering in terms of both theory and practical application. In the second year, students deepen their knowledge in their chosen field and choose from a range of specialist modules. The final year focuses on a substantial research project and specialist modules.Key Modules: Key modules of the course include: Digital and Analogue Electronics, Mathematical Techniques and Applications for Engineers, Mechanical Engineering Science, Electrical Energy Management, Control Systems Design, Electrical Machines and Drives, and Systems and Control. Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer. Future Careers: Upon completing this course, students can pursue a career in a broad array of sectors such as aerospace, broadcasting, defense, energy, IT and telecommunications.
