MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology

The Maritime Engineering Science/Ocean Energy and Offshore Engineering Masters (MSc) at the University of Southampton is a one-year full-time degree. This programme allows learners to explore technologies for harnessing ocean energy and the process of development and commercialisation. Course Content: The course consists of a combination of compulsory and optional modules. The first semester is dedicated to the foundational concepts, while during the second term, students can select their modules based on areas of interest. Students will also conduct a research project guided by a supervisor, leading to a dissertation.Key Modules: The core modules include Renewable Energy from the Marine Environment, Computational Fluid Dynamics for Industrial Processes, and Advanced Computational Methods I. The optional modules include Failure of Materials and Components, Offshore Engineering and Analysis, and Surface Water Wave Mechanics amongst others.Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as meeting the academic requirement leading to Chartered Engineer status.Future Careers: Graduates from this course are well-equipped for a career in the marine renewable energy sector.
