BA (Hons.) Fine Art Mixed Media

The Fine Art Mixed Media BA Honors course at the University of Westminster is a full-time course, that allows students to experiment with diverse forms of Fine Art —from painting to 3D, digital, and video installation— without having to prioritize any particular approach. By providing possibilities to engage simultaneously with different formats, the course encourages cross-disciplinary debates, bridging different approaches to the same artistic problems.Course Content: Throughout the program, students will explore and experiment with different mediums of visual art. They will learn how to analyze different materials and their effects on various forms of fine art, as well as how to draw on a range of ideas from different academic disciplines to inform their studio work. Emphasizing on learning through practice, they will experiment with traditional and contemporary techniques, materials, and formats. Key Modules: The course consists of modules such as Studio Practice, Technology, Practice, History, and Theory, Personal and Professional Development which are divided into three years structure. Each year progressively builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in previous years, starting with introductory modules and culminating in an individual project where students can demonstrate their creativity and originality, showing their skills through a final year degree show.Accreditations: This course does not have any listed accreditations.Future Careers: The graduates from this course have secured work in a wide range of creative fields such as art & illustration, film & television, publishing, art history and teaching.
