BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology

The BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology at the University of the West of England is designed to provide students with an understanding of the scientific nature of psychology, and it's applied to criminology. The program combines the study of human behavior with an understanding of criminal behavior and justice, thereby equipping students with the skills needed to deal with complex social issues.Course Content: The course provides a comprehensive understanding of various methods, including biological, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology. Students are also exposed to the clinical and forensic facets. Furthermore, participants have the opportunity to explore critical areas, such as crime causation, prevention, punishment, and rehabilitation.Key Modules: The course includes important modules encompassing psychology and criminology. Accreditations: The program is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means that on completion of your studies, providing you achieve at least a lower second (2:2) honours degree, you'll be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
