The Computer Science course offered by UWE Bristol exposes students to the key software and hardware technologies used in computer systems, as well as the theoretical principles behind them. In this highly practical course, you can develop a wide range of system design and programming skills that make it possible to devise, implement and maintain computer systems to meet the specifications defined by the users.Course Content: Throughout the course, you will examine the fundamental principles that underpin computation and information handling, the abstract concepts that express them, and the software and hardware used to apply them to the real world. You will cover topics such as hardware, systems programming, network programming, and data-driven system design in the course.Key Modules: This course comprises modules like Hardware and Systems Programming which includes the development of skills related to low-level programming towards applications in IoT and embedded systems, Network Programming in which students will study network architecture and implement software that leverages data over a network, and an exciting Data-Driven System. Accreditations: The BSc(Hons) Computer Science (including foundation year) is accredited by the British Computing Society (BCS) - The Chartered Institute for ITFuture Careers: After graduation, you could work as a software engineer, systems analyst, network engineer or database administrator.
