        The Criminology with Law BA (Hons) course offered by the University of Hull allows students to explore crime in society and scrutinise the legal system which detects and regulates it. The approach to teaching is a balanced mix of theory and practical work giving students the opportunity to put theory into practice.

        Course Content: The course content is structured to explore a wide range of topics including Criminal Justice, Social Justice, Policing and Punishment, Theoretical Criminology, and Research in Policing. Students have the option to take optional modules on diverse topics like human rights, family law, sociology of health and illness, among others.

        Key Modules: Some of the key modules students will study include An Introduction to Law & Legal Systems, Punishment: Theory & Practice, Understanding Criminology, and International Security and Global Justice.

        Accreditations: This course is recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (England & Wales) and the Bar Standards Board. This makes it a Qualifying Law Degree, which allows students to move on to the next stage of legal training to become a solicitor or barrister.

        Future Careers: Graduates of this course are well-prepared for a range of roles in legal professions, social work, policing, the probation service, or teaching. The course also provides a strong foundational knowledge for further postgraduate study in either criminology or law.
